The North West Silken Windhound Society, a member club of the International
Silken Windhound Society (ISWS), is committed to advancing the breed through
education and participation in conformation, performance and social events.
The North West Silken Windhound Society (NWSWS) is comprised of Silken Windhound enthusiasts residing primarily in the Western U. S. and Canada, although members also live as far afield as New York. We are dedicated to expanding both the "dog world's" and general public's knowledge of Silken Windhounds. Silken Windhounds are a coated, medium-sized sighthound designed to fill the gap in the line-up of sighthound breeds. They are an elegant hound and are at home in the field as well as in the show ring. Silken Windhounds are recognized by the United Kennel Club (UKC) and NWSWS is the first UKC approved Silken club.
Whether you seek a wonderful companion or a dog who can do it all, a Silken Windhound will fulfill every dream, desire and fantasy you have ever had about what it truly means to be one with your four legged family member.
For information on joining NWSWS, please go to "Contact Us" found under "More Pages" (see navigation bar above).
